Virtual Party

What is the best way for a guest to prepare for a virtual party?

Here is a guideline document for you to read over and prepare for a virtual party.

Corporate/Auction

Do we need to do rehearsal before a livestream event?

While we always go through a technical rehearsal before each event, we highly recommend a full event rehearsal with any on camera presenter or virtual speaker.

Can we include live auctioning into a live streamed event?

The format of the live stream will come down to what company you are signed up with to run your auction. Two companies that allow us to embed a live stream into the auction are  Auctria and Givergy. To see an example demo video of this click here. To see what the website can look like click here.

Can you handle the auction side of the event?

No, we do not setup the auction site. You will need to contact Auctria and Givergy to setup an account with them along with uploading the auction items. You will also need to take care of registration and credit cards, etc. The only thing we will need is access to your account so we can embed into the livestream.

Can you upload auction items for us if we setup the account?

Yes, we can do this for you if you’d like us to handle it.

What information would you need about the auction items if we want your team to upload items to our account?

We would need the following info about each auction item from you. Picture (1920x1080 high resolution), value of item, starting bid, incremental amount, description of item, bullet points, donors name of item.

Can we include our own video for the livestream?

Yes, if you are going to do your own video production we’ll need you to follow these recommendations and specs.

  • Film in 1920x1080 @ 29.97P. Prores 4:2:2 or h.264 20 Mbs CBR.
  • Film in landscape mode (this is very important, please don’t give us vertical video syndrome)
  • Film in highest quality possible (check video record settings, 4K preferable)
  • Let someone film you if possible using the back lens of your phone (use tripod)
  • Stay close to the phone for better audio. Don’t go beyond 5 feet from your phone (speak loudly)
  • If singing or speaking is involved, please stay close for better audio (be aware of copyrighted music)
  • Film in quiet area with no background noise
  • Center your eyes in the upper third part of the frame (see example pic)

How can we interact with a crowd during a live streamed event?

We can embed interactive tools so your guests can keep engaged such as Poll EverywhereSlido or Cbox. We can customize and embed this into the live stream event for you.

Can we play any songs while live streaming?

No, due to copyright infringement we have to play royalty free music only otherwise social media sites will shut down the live stream feed. Youtube, Facebook and others are very strict about this. If you’re a big name like NBC, ABC you can get “whitelisted” so your live-stream won’t get shut down BUT it’s not guranteed. If you’d like to try follow this article here for YouTube and this article here for Facebook.

Where can we find royalty free music?

There are a number of sites that we can buy royalty free music from. With our live streaming packages we provide unlimited royalty free music. Feel free to browse the site here. We’ve also made premade playlists for you. Click below to hear the playlist.

Can a band perform during the livestream?

Yes, cover bands can perform during the livestream. It is highly unlikely that it will get flagged during the livestream but that doesn’t mean it can’t happen. Secondly, this doesn’t mean it won’t be flagged later if you upload your livestream event to your social media sites such as YouTube, Facebook, etc.
